In colder climates, it is necessary to have well-insulated roofing and heating to keep patrons warm. In contrast, it is essential to have ample shading and cooling systems in warmer temperatures. The interior of a rooftop bar should be designed to make the most of the views available. This means using transparent or semi-transparent materials wherever possible so guests can see and using light colours to create a bright and airy atmosphere.
