Nom Nom Thai concept restaurant interiors project executed by India’s best hospitality architect and interior design firm, Sumessh Menon Associates. This restaurant interior design firm has a team of the best Indian Interior designers who are specialized in restaurant and cafe interior designs.
After its brief hiatus, one of Bandra’s favourite Asian food joint has now finally reopened its doors to a completely revamped new look with the Nom Nom Thai concept restaurant interiors all with a well-equipped new bar and open kitchen concept.
The facade is a simple yet innovative design with louvered fixed panels that gives an ever-so-slight peek into the fabulous interiors.
The entire space is a blend of earthy materials like jute, stone, and wood used in innovatively contemporary design elements in the space in order to create a sense of Asian influence without obvious design elements. The newly introduced bar counter has a backlit wire mesh bar apron behind vertical wooden fins. Even the bar back display is a backlit pattern with a beautiful metallic screen design and the bar top is an exotic chocolate brownstone top. While one entire wall displays a wooden screen wall with coloured glass inserts and custom wall lights, another wall of the restaurant displays a patina finish panel with an array of circular cut-outs installed with metallic Chinese gongs and scripts. The kitchen wall is a grey textured grainy finish wall that displays a pattern of concentric circles that at once reminds one of the Zen-like sand gardens. There is an interesting repetition of this concentric pattern that is seen in the stitch work of the upholstery and in the form of inlay on the tabletops. The installation-like layered, jute panel ceiling, as well as the concrete tiling floor with metal inserts, is indeed very eye-catching right from the moment you enter the space.
Though every aspect of the interior ambience is reminiscent of Asian influences with muted shades of greens and blues as the colour palette, the overall impact of the space is that of a delightfully inviting and contemporary restaurant that has been taken up a notch from its original brand character. We are dying to get our fix of Asian food from this favourite joint of ours.
