There is a staggered stone-clad pathway, with a trickling water feature, that leads you into the main restaurant space. The building structure displays a larger-than-life cherry blossom artwork spread across its facade. The interior design, done by none other than Sumessh Menon Associates, exudes a very raw, natural essence that permeates through every design element present, be it the beautiful vaulted ceiling or the raw, two-toned terrazzo flooring, or the rattan and cane finish furniture or even the monolithic concrete cast inside-outside bar with fluid folds running along its entire apron length.
The play of materials is kept within a range of up to 3-4 elements but the design diversity within it is a visual delight indeed. The raw concrete finish in varying forms and textures are seen on the floor and even on the stone blasted columns. Custom-designed lights form a spectacular feature of the space including pendant and pedestal light fixtures.
The overall ambiance of the space is warm, earthy, and charmingly inviting – one that promises delectable treats both for the eyes and the stomach.
Well known for interior designing of hospitality spaces and restaurants, Sumessh Menon and Associates have done many high-end restaurant architecture & bar interior design projects.
